Wary Mama

For the first time in a long time i got to spend Christmas in Goa with just my husband and kid. i'd been craving the 'nu-clearness' of the nuclear family for some reason i still haven't figured out. Thomas (my husband) and I decided to commence our Christmas decor hoarde. Mind you all those stars and sock and holly and tree and nuggets are fabulous to look at but it costs you some irritatingly good number of pretty polly. Well, did we have a choice?? The joyful colours in place and the mind's image of barmy patterns flicking across I turned to the Christmas menu with some eagerness, a little lethargy and a wee bit apprehension. This was my debut Christmas feast. I naturally thought of the cake first because that can be a tad cumbersome if you're a novice.
